I’m Nina Carrara, IDG World Expo Brand Director. As a Brand Director for IDG World Expo I oversee the marketing, management, and execution of our event brands, bridging the strategic direction and vision of each through to completion.
Why I’m here I love my team, my shows, my boss, and the fact that every day is different.
On the job There is never a typical day – which is what makes it so interesting. I never have the same bulleted list to follow because I am constantly working on a variety of programs, partnerships, and initiatives. My daily work relies on where we are in the event planning cycle and what tactics need to be executed.
Career growth As an employee, explore everything the company has to offer. There are so many rich resources and training opportunities IDG supplies. Learn as much as you can about your business unit, other businesses and their new products, and new tactics. Altogether, IDG provides an opportunity to have a career not just a job, because it’s a great place to work as a long term employee.
What sets us apart You can constantly learn something new from your colleagues because there are so many different business units at IDG. IDG utilizes traditional forms of media in combination with forward –thinking models of media. IDG is not a stagnant company because of it. Between print and online media, IDG is not stuck in one category of media usage. New products allow for areas of opportunity when IDG explores new channels.
IDG really takes care of their employees. Our HR department is great. Plus I have always been impressed by my colleagues’ commitment, intelligence, and passion for their job. This is visible through the work they exhibit and how they take pride in their work.
